So now I’m moving on to the second book in the Jamorama guitar lessons course. The first was for beginners, whereas this book contains intermediate-level instruction, and features 29 lessons.

Lesson 1 is a short one, and discusses the importance of developing your music sight reading skills. The new material includes a minor chord and an introduction to bass note runs, which really help to add interest to the music.

Lesson 2 introduces major 7th chords, which have a distinctive sound, and are very commonly used in jazz and blues music. The rhythms are getting more complex too, with 16th notes (semiquavers) – these are more challenging to play cleanly when strumming, but there’s a great jam track in this lesson which will give you some fun practice.
